Connecticut Indian casinos, Mohegan Sun and Foxwood, inspired by the previous success of such gambling giants as Harrah Entertainment that are aiming at having a casino at every market, also wish to take one step further and deploy onto the nationwide arena establishing a wagering empires from coast to coast, abandoning their Nutmeg State base.
Following the Keystone state gambling expansion, Mohegan has recently annexed to its belongings a prominent Pennsylvania racetrack and is drafting to make an investment of $500 million to plant slot machines. It has already bonded with another tribe in Washington to build a casino and add another one in Wisconsin, already experienced in the gambling business. The rationale behind is for the main facility to be reared and provided by the national market. The broad picture would be to nationalize the multiple branches by a recognizable unique tribal brand for California as well as Massachusetts casino visitors, reminiscent to those adopted by Vegas titans.
It is a safe bet that after the Mohegan proliferation, Foxwood is just a step behind pursuing similar goals, exploring a Pennsylvanian slot machine venue and launching a consulting deal with a California tribe. If that's not enough it also helps out a tribe in Arizona to align casino plans.
